FAQs

Before you pop the question like Kyler did, scroll below for common questions about our special day!
Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent or turned off for the entirety of our ceremony, from the beginning of the Processional to the end of the Recessional. Why? We have hired professionals to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd like to prevent a well-meaning guest's phone/device from blocking the line of view for our professionals. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you would like into the evening. We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is a large lot west of the church, and it is $10 for the day! Otherwise, street parking in Milwaukee is free on the weekends. Every Sunday for church, we use the free angled parking along the lot mentioned above! We would like to reserve the limited space in the church parking lot for our vendors and those who are handicapped and in need of a shortened walking distance. Please note: The City of Milwaukee has been enforcing temporary tow-away zones on the streets around the church and reception venue after 9 PM on the weekends to assist with crowd control for the nearby Fiserv Forum. If you park on Water St, E Juneau Ave, N Market St, or N Broadway for the ceremony, please be sure to move your vehicle off of these streets by 9 PM! These tow-away zones do not affect the large parking lot to the west of the church or any of the streets to the east of Broadway. You cannot park in any of these locations overnight.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us. We are requesting cocktail attire for the evening. If you would like to coordinate with the wedding party, you are welcome to do so with shades complimenting navy and sage green. Please do not wear jeans or colors that are traditionally reserved for the bride (white, ivory, cream, etc.).

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 2:00 pm. We suggest you arrive thirty minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time to park and find your seat.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so that we can plan accordingly. If you initially RSVP'd yes and your situation changes, re-RSVP the same way you did the first time. By clicking submit, we will get an email notification of your changes. If your situation changes less than two weeks before the wedding, please contact the maid of honor, Meghan, at (920) 410-8811.

Question

How can I let you know about my dietary restriction?

Answer

We will be serving appetizers and dinner that can accommodate a wide variety of dietary restrictions (i.e., vegetarian, gluten-free, nut free). When you RSVP, please indicate your dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.
