The "meet someone twice" theory is based on the idea that if someone is meant to be in your life, you’ll encounter them twice—even if the first meeting doesn’t lead to anything lasting. The initial meeting may not work out due to timing, personal growth, or other life factors. But the second meeting offers a new chance—often with a different perspective, and a very different outcome. Maddy and Kyler's story begins back in high school. For years, they were frequently around each other—always in the same circles, at the same parties, surrounded by mutual friends. They were often described by others as the "weird friends" or “free-spirited,” labels that, even nine years later, still hold true. Their second meeting, however, changed everything. On July 4th, 2021, in Preble, NY, Maddy and Kyler saw each other in a new light. It was a late and blurry night filled with long driveway conversations, freezing midnight swims, and rooftop rambles. The night rolled into July 5th—a moment both of them would later call life-changing. This would be the very moment the two became inseparable. The couple moved to South Carolina together only 6 months after dating, and now share 1 home, 1 dog, 3 lizards, blended families, friends, and can not wait to celebrate with everyone who has been on this journey alongside them.
