FAQs

If you have any additional questions than what we have listed here, please reach out to us and we will be happy to answer your questions.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by the date indicated on your invitation. It is very important that we receive your response by this date so we can accurately plan seating, meals, and other details with our venue and vendors. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate responses received after the deadline. We truly appreciate you taking the time to RSVP on time. This helps us ensure everything is just right for our celebration. If by chance you forgot to RSVP by the deadline, please message one of us to see what can be done because we would love to celebrate with you.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have a registry available on our wedding website for those who wish to view it. We have also set up a honeymoon fund through Venmo, which is linked under the Registry tab on our website. That said, your love and presence on our special day mean more to us than any gift we could receive. A contribution to our honeymoon fund or a gift from our registry is not needed, nor is it expected. We are simply grateful to celebrate with you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving about 15–20 minutes early so you have plenty of time to park, find your seat, and get settled before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will start approximately at the scheduled time, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We do not have a formal dress code. We want you to arrive in whatever you feel good and comfortable in. Your Sunday best is perfect. Most importantly, we just want you to be yourself and enjoy celebrating with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that you please message us to ensure space availability before bringing a date. If all is well, please include them in your RSVP so we know how many seats and meals to plan for.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We would love to meet and celebrate with the next generation of our family. We kindly ask that you please include your children in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a list of hotels we recommend in Portales under the Travel tab on this website. The Holiday Inn, Super 8 Motel, and Sands Motel are all located on the south side of Portales heading toward Elida. The Comfort Inn is located in the center of Portales and is closer to the reception venue. Additional hotel options in Clovis NM roughly 20 minutes northeast of Portales.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please message us to let us know about any food allergies or dietary needs. We want to be sure you have something to enjoy at the reception.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, so guests should plan to make their own arrangements. The ceremony will take place at Elida First Baptist Church, located approximately 24 miles southeast of Portales. Following the ceremony, the reception will be held in Portales, NM at The Little Old Little New Venue.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer
