Located in Athens. Take a tour of their production facility and enjoy some tasty ice cream.

Mayfield Dairy Tours

Located ~20 minutes from Athens. The Lost Sea is America's largest underground lake. All tours are guided tours and last for approximately one hour and twenty minutes. Reservations are not required.

The Lost Sea Adventure

There are several companies that do similar tours, this one had good reviews and is located about 40 minutes from Athens.

Cherokee Rafting - Ocoee River Whitewater

Situated on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, TN, (about 1 hr from Athens) the Tennessee Aquarium is home to 10000 animals and an IMAX theater.

Tennessee Aquarium

Located in downtown Knoxville. Festival Lawn, Splash Pads, Amphitheater, Sunsphere, and Volunteer Landing. Also close to lots of fun restaurants and shopping. About a 1 hour drive from Athens.

World's Fair Park

Rocks, trails, gardens, falls, and lover's leap where you can see seven different states. Fairyland caverns, Mother Goose Village, and Swing-a-Long Bridge. Rock City Gardens is a one hour and fifteen minute drive from Athens.

Breathtaking views from the Chilhowee Mountain Overlook. Picnic, biking, hiking, swimming, camping, etc. Approximately 50 minutes from Athens.
