Matt, being the Vegas guru he is, was getting ready for a Halloween trip with the boys when Noah (our mutual friend and matchmaker) ruined it by inviting my friend Katie and I on the trip as a reward for finishing our midterms out with a bang! Within 72 hours, I was dancing at the club to Martin Garrix when one of “Noah’s fraternity brother’s” asked me if I liked to dance and if I liked tequila…. with the answer being yes to both, we danced the weekend away and the rest is history! Matt and I texted, called and FaceTimed each other so much over the next week, that I came down to Dallas to see Matt that following weekend for a concert. I think we both knew that this was going to be a hit when we ended up missing the concert in Dallas, so we booked last minute flights to Paris a month later and saw the concert there! Matt's spontaneity is one of his many qualities that I love so much and he continues to keep me on my toes to this day! Fast forward 3 years – We have traveled to so many fun places, bought our first home together and welcomed Walter, our Goldendoodle into our little family! After swingin’ through the drive thru at McDonalds one Friday night in January, Matt proposed to me with a box of chicken nuggets and topped it off with a surprise party with all of our friends (after our real dinner because he ate almost all the nuggets ☺) and it couldn’t have been more perfect or more us! We are so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people! #VivaLasBurke
