WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met while working at LA Fitness in 2009, where we sold personal training. We denied our attraction for each other at first but then went on a lunch date and our connection was undeniable. A summer romance that ended bittersweet, calling it quits but little did we know God had other plans. Elyanna was born and so, the joys of co-parenting commenced. Highs and lows but always there for our little girl. Our mothers prayed for the day we'd get back together. Five years later, Ely's ballet recital changed everything. Out of nowhere, I saw him differently which was true-to-theme, since Ely's routine was to the song "I see the light" from Disney's Tangled. Shortly after, we had a family gathering at the Shedd aquarium and have been together ever since. In December 2023, we went to the Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Gardens. The final exhibit was called the 'Winter Cathedral'. It had a tunnel of dazzling white lights with heavenly music playing. Surrounded by family and friends, he then got down on one knee. A 10 year journey of love and laughter, and now our countdown starts to a happily ever after!
