Rental Car
- Airport Transfers: We highly recommend scheduling your transfer in advance with Cabo Transfers (link below) for a smooth and reliable ride from the airport to your hotel. Pre-arranged transfers are the most convenient option, as rideshare services like Uber are not permitted to pick up passengers at the airport. - Car Rentals: If you prefer more flexibility during your stay, rental cars are available at the airport and throughout Cabo. Keep in mind that driving in Mexico can be different from the U.S., and some roads may be less maintained. Also, most car rental companies require full-coverage insurance, which can increase the rental cost. - Taxis: Taxis are available throughout Cabo but can be expensive. Always confirm the fare before getting in, as taxis do not use meters. - Uber: Uber is available in Cabo and can be a more affordable option than taxis. However, note that Uber drivers are not allowed to pick up passengers directly from the airport, so you’ll need to arrange a shuttle or take a taxi from the airport to your hotel first.
Travel Note
A valid passport is required for all travelers entering Mexico. Ensure your passport is up to date and will not expire within six months of travel.
Travel Note
- The official currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted in most tourist areas. - Credit and debit cards are commonly used, but it’s a good idea to carry some pesos for small purchases, taxis, or tips. - ATMs are available, but use those inside banks or hotels for safety.
Travel Note
- Most major U.S. phone carriers offer international roaming plans for Mexico—check with your provider before traveling. - Free Wi-Fi is available at most hotels, restaurants, and cafes.
Travel Note
- Cabo enjoys warm, sunny weather year-round, with temperatures in January averaging around 75°F during the day and cooling down at night. - Pack light, breathable clothing for the daytime and a light jacket or wrap for the evenings, as it can get breezy on the rooftop. - Sunscreen is a must! The sun in Cabo is strong, and some areas only sell expensive imported sunscreen. Bring reef-safe sunscreen if you plan on swimming.
Travel Note
- Mexico uses Type A and Type B electrical outlets, which are the same as in the United States. If you’re traveling from the U.S., no adapter is needed.
Travel Note
- Do not drink tap water in Mexico—stick to bottled or purified water to avoid any stomach issues. - The Corazón Cabo Resort provides filtered water, but when in doubt, bottled water is the safest option. - Avoid ice in drinks unless it’s from a reputable hotel or restaurant that uses purified ice.

Tipping is customary in Mexico, similar to the U.S. Standard tips are 10% - 20% of the bill.
