Kyle and Tehani met their first night in the dorms freshmen year of college way back in 2011. They had one class together and lived on the same dorm room floor, they quickly moved from strangers to best friends and eventually roommates. Kyle and Tehani have shared many memories over the years and starting out this journey as best friends is the single greatest thing to happen to them. 6 years of friendship, 3 years of being roommates, and 1 circus intervention later Tehani and Kyle (finally) started dating.

2 years into dating Kyle and Tehani headed out on a beautifully sunny day to Big Bear lake to play in the snow. After lunch in a small outdoor restaurant, Tehani suggested that they walk to the lake and look around. Little did Tehani know there was a ring hidden away in the car and she had just thrown Kyle a curve ball. Kyle told Tehani he had to use the restroom and sprinted the 2 blocks back to the car to retrieve the ring, all while Tehani sat in the restaurant completely oblivious. They paid for lunch and headed down to the lake to walk along the shore and take in the view. As they were walking along Kyle found the perfect spot to get down on one knee. Through tear filled face Tehani found the words and said YES to the love of her life.
