Cancun International Airport

We recommend taking the ferry schedule into account when booking flights as the ferry does not run over night and is about a 20 minute shuttle ride from the airport. Make sure not to land too late at night to allow yourself time to get to and catch the ferry (last ferry runs at 11pm). For your return trip make sure not to leave too early to allow yourself time to get back to the airport (first ferry runs at 5:30am). Keep us posted on your flight times and we'll work on getting a shuttle from the airport to the ferry scheduled for you!

We recommend booking with Happy Shuttle for shuttles from the Cancun International Airport to the Puerto Juarez Ultramar Ferry to Isla Mujeres. You can book online with a credit card and they are extremely reliable. It is a flat rate shuttle for up to 8 people so if you are traveling with a group it is best to try and time your flights around the same landing time to share shuttles! When booking your shuttle you will just provide flight information so they know pick up and drop off times for your return flight as well. Upon landing just look for the man with the Happy Shuttle sign and you will be on your way. Ultramar Ferry

This is the ferry you'll take from the mainland to Isla Mujeres. It leaves from Puerto Juarez and shoots directly to Isla Mujeres. It's a 15 minute ride, and runs every half hour between 5:30 am and 11pm. It's easy to navigate, just let them know you need a round trip ticket (costs around $16, and they take US dollars there).
