Kyle and Rose met in December of 2018 at an Indy Catholic young adult weekend retreat. On the first night of the retreat, the retreatants were directed to participate in "speed friending," like speed dating, in order to get to know people a little. Each time the group rotated to a new person, a question was given for a conversation starter. Kyle and Rose met over a question that was something like, "What would your dream home be like?". Rose remembers how Kyle's blonde hair stuck straight up in the front, how he was smiley and friendly as he described HGTV homes. Is it coincidental that we met over this question, when it turns out that our dream home is where we can be together? ;) Rose and Kyle remembered each other fondly from the retreat but only saw each other from a distance once or twice until a social event on Cinco de Mayo 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Church (where they will soon be married). This is when they finally had an opportunity to talk again, and once they started talking they didn't stop; they stayed by each other's side until the event was being closed down. Kyle asked if Rose would like to go out the next weekend and he got her number. They went on their first date the next Friday and it didn't take too long before they knew they wanted to be together and stay by each other's side for a long time. Kyle and Rose got to know each other through daily phone calls, get-togethers with family, and events with friends. Kyle kept Rose in the loop every step of the way as he made a career change from the political to tech realm, and Rose was supported by Kyle as she made career decisions in nursing. Kyle proposed marriage on September 15, 2021. Since then, they have been thrilled to keep working toward their future together and make life goals together, trying to follow God's direction in their lives. We are excited for your presence as we enter into the sacrament of Holy Matrimony this July, and we ask for your prayers. We will pray for you too!
#RegisteredNegley comes from the idea of Rose's "dual vocation" as an RN. 1) Registered Negley 2) Registered Nurse
