We’re Making it Official!

As fate would have it, both Kyle and Patia decided to give the dating apps another try. Kyle answered one of Patia’s Hinge questions prompting a conversation about desserts ( a lil sweet treat if you will). Immediately Patia’s attention was captured. They spoke for 2 weeks before Kyle asked Patia to dinner at GaucaMigos in hopes their margarita was as good as Playa Mesas (it was not). Nonetheless, Patia and Kyle enjoyed the Thursday night. The date ended a few hours later, no smooches were had and they went on their way. The following morning Patia invited Kyle to the beach where he happily played hookie for the day. That second date turned into a full weekend of exploring Newport Beach, playing cards and 21 questions and watching questionable childhood YouTube videos. By Sunday night, Patia went home knowing Kyle was special. Tuesday night, Valentine’s Day, the two spent all day texting with no mention of the Hallmark holiday. Patia wondered if Kyle would ask her out. Kyle was scared of being too forward. By 5:30pm, Patia was overly eager and assumed surely Kyle would ask her out so she got dressed and put on make up. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, the mention of Valentine’s Day occurred. Kyle invited her over for a “casual non Valentine’s Day dinner.” You know, no pressure! Kyle surprised Patia with flowers and an amazing home cooked meal. Valentine’s Day sealed the deal for her. She was in love. From then on, Kyle and Patia spent many evenings together taking turns cooking, laughing and learning more about eachother. Over the years, their love has grown as they traveled the world, went to way too many weddings and moved to Colorado. They have settled there in hopes of raising a family, expanding Kyle’s business and growing old on some land.
