It was the month of May 2024 when we met for the first time at a little Italian restaurant called Daveto’s in Delta, Colorado. Now you might be thinking that maybe one of us was the waiter and the other the customer or maybe we met online and agreed to meet there, well, you’d be wrong. About 2 months before that evening, Dominic (Kyle’s coworker) and his wife Alex (Olivia’s best friend) came up with this grand idea that we would be perfect for each other; and so it began. Olivia was a lot more for the idea, but Kyle, well he took a bit more convincing (hence the two months). Nevertheless, Kyle finally agreed to meet under the condition of a double date with Dominic and Alex. After that night, Kyle agreed to another double date, mini golf, which ended with him spilling his drink on himself while telling Olivia a story, inviting Olivia to Bible study and exchanging numbers. About a week later Kyle thought about asking Olivia if she’d like to go on a walk and started typing out a text to her. But before he clicked send, a text from Olivia popped up asking the same thing! Long story short, we went on that walk, Olivia started coming to Bible study, we went on more dates, and officially started dating in August of 2024. Soon there after, Olivia gave her life to Jesus and over the next year both of us grew in our faith which brought us closer and closer and you guessed it, closer, to each other. Kyle proposed to Olivia on our 1 year anniversary at the place our first photo was taken, and let’s just say we can’t wait to be able to say goodnight without having to leave each other.
