We met on Instagram right before the pandemic. I was in Austin and Nick lived in Washington DC. It started off with us liking each other's photos and then I slid into Nick's DMs. Months of chatting on Instagram turned into text messages and weekly FaceTime calls. Eventually, Nick moved to an apartment in Austin right across the street from me. I picked him up from his apartment in my Jeep and that was our first time meeting each other in-person. Everything else fell perfectly into place.

We took a spring trip to Italy: Venice - Rome - Capri. Our Airbnb had a stunning view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Tyrrhenian Sea. On May 4, I popped the question to Nick inside the Airbnb- he said, "Yes!"
