It was a humid day in Machu Picchu. Meg, Kyle and a few others were boarding a small Cessna that they would soon dive out of, into the most beautiful landscape imaginable. They nervously made eye contact on the plane and felt a spark, but didn't know if it was just the nerves. .....Just kidding. We met on Tinder! After a few days of texting throughout the coming days/nights, we planned our first date. We met on a week night at a cool dive bar in Hollywood with a jukebox. We both remember exactly what the other was wearing, have no recollection of conversations that were had, but both felt an instant excitement about meeting. A few vodka sodas and a Radiohead album later, Kyle asked Meg to take a trip with him to Cactus Taqueria, then to meet his 85 lb. Labradoodle. And then they fell in love. Meg and Doodle that is... After months of fighting our feelings, we finally gave in and made things official on January 23, 2015. It was nearing closing time at a West Hollywood bar. Lou Bega's classic "Mambo Number 5" came on. Kyle found it to be the perfect opportunity to ask Meg the big question, "will you be my girlfriend?". He was holding a single rose that he bought from the lady that walks around the bar at about 1:45 am selling flowers and other chachkies. Being a fan of The Bachelor franchise, Meg was sold with the rose. So 4 years, many road trips, lots of burritos and endless amounts of love later, we are gettin' hitched! We swiped so, so right.
