Kyle and Mary Ellen met in the early 2000s at Takanassee Beach Club, where Mary Ellen was a lifeguard and Kyle started as a pool cleaner before joining her on the stand. They were close friends for many years, leaving those around them to wonder why they never gave it a shot. In 2018 they finally got together and it turned out everyone was right - they made a great couple. The Coast Guard brought Kyle to Kodiak, Alaska shortly after they got together. A silver lining of COVID was that Mary Ellen was able to work from Alaska for 2 months in 2020. When Kyle was able to come home for Christmas in 2020, he proposed on the beach in Long Branch. They were legally married just a few days later at the same beach. In December 2021, they welcomed their daughter Kelly. Now its time to celebrate their union with all of their family and friends in the best way they know how - a backyard party.
