Six years ago, two hearts swiped right and everything changed. What began as a bit of awkward small talk, quickly blossomed into something truly special. Our first date was at a restaurant in Monrovia, where we discovered something surprising, we used to live just minutes apart. Kyle had jogged past my apartment countless times, and yet, somehow, our paths never crossed… until they were meant to. On our third date, I told Kyle I’d love to go camping with him, not knowing where we’d end up. My friends thought I was crazy for heading into the woods with someone I’d just met, so I shared my location to be safe. Little did I know, the campsite was tucked away in a remote area with no cell service. But when we arrived at the serene Rock Creek Lake, all my worries melted away. As Kyle shared childhood memories by the water’s edge, I fell in love with the lake, and with him. It’s now our favorite place to unplug and unwind in our cozy trailer.
