Casual banter escalated into a serious case of "caught feelings" when the young gentleman guessed her favorite part of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on his very first try ("The Last March of the Ents" if anyone's curious). However...their first date "IRL" was a complete disaster. In an attempt to flaunt her adventurous side, the young lady decided to hop on an electric scooter for the first time, trusting her common sense and cat-like reflexes to keep her safe. However, what began as a high speed adventure in poor visual conditions ended with her splat on the pavement; arm broken and pride thoroughly wounded. She made a hasty retreat, never expecting to hear from the young man again. Little did she know that her fall had achieved the opposite effect. What she beheld as a cringe-worthy faux paus, he perceived as an act of Olympic level athleticism. After she departed, the young man told anyone at the bar who would listen that his date that evening had flown off an electric scooter, performed a triple axle, into a triple salchow, into a triple double, and landed in a Kung Fu crouch on the pavement. As he sipped an extra strong micro-brew IPA, the young man thought to himself, "now that's a girl I could fall for."
