They met in High School! Kyle and Maddie knew of each other, but never really talked. Until senior year, Maddie held the homecoming pictures and dinner at her parents house. And Kyle was invited because Maddie was friends with some of his friends. It just so happened that neither Maddie or Kyle were going with a date and their outfits matched perfectly (first picture in our “Gallery” on the website). That’s what started it all senior year…..unfortunately, that fling only lasted 2 weeks. Though, Kyle was Maddie’s first kiss! They both decided it was not going to work……college was right around the corner. Maddie was going to University of St. Thomas and Kyle was going to University of LaCrosse. So, fast forward 3 years, Maddie decided to invite her old high school friends to her cottage for Labor Day weekend, right before senior year of college started. She told Cole Kempen (Best Man) to invite the guys and she invited all her old girl friends. Abby Draves (Bridesmaid) and Maddie were just about to pull out of the driveway…literally in the car, in drive. And Abby gets a Snapchat call from Kyle (because Kyle didn’t save numbers) saying he can go up north now. So, they picked up Kyle on their way out. Kyle and Maddie sat on the dock talking for about 3 hours and the rest is history!
