Like all great modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. There were no grand first impressions—just two people willing to give an algorithm a chance. Our first date was scheduled for a Saturday. But on Friday when one of us (okay, me) realized I was already wearing "real clothes" for a friend’s birthday dinner, I figured, “Might as well knock this date out, too” and moved the date to Friday. Efficiency at its finest. It turned out to be a pretty good call. So good, in fact, that just six weeks later, we decided to really test our compatibility—with a trip to San Francisco. The plan? Spend several days together and see if we drove each other crazy. The result? We survived, thrived, and came back knowing this was something special. Apparently, we like to take big leaps, because just six months later, we were planning a trip to Africa together. At that point, we weren’t just planning another adventure—we were planning a forever kind of thing. And here we are—still adventuring, still laughing, and still making great last-minute decisions.
