Best Man
Silas has been friends with Kyle since 2014 when they met at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He's married to Cassia and is dad to Asa (age 1). He is a choreographer and artist-in-residence at Southern Methodist University and previously danced with the New York City Ballet.
Matron of Honor
Cara is Laura's older sister by four years. She's married to Benjamin and is mom to Hunter (age 7) and Emmaline (age 3). She studied education at Covenant College and has a background in youth ministry and teaching middle grades.
Groomsman
Harrison and Kyle met through Redeemer Presbyterian and became close when he and his wife Leah started attending Kyle’s small group. Harrison is the Principal Bassoonist of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and Music Director at Redeemer Downtown. He and Leah have three kids.
Bridesmaid
Angela is Laura's older sister by six years. She's married to Dan and is mom to Naomi (age 9) and Isaiah (age 7). She studied English at Covenant College and has a background in publishing and the book business.
Groomsman
Lars and Kyle both grew up in Grand Rapids but got to know each other better after running into each other at Redeemer Presbyterian’s coffee hour. He’s a beer connoisseur and knows all the best spots for great brews. He is a dancer with the New York City Ballet and is married to Tanya.
Bridesmaid
Kelly is Kyle's younger sister by 2 and 1/2 years. When they were little they were practically inseparable (e.g., discipline equalled being put in separate rooms). Kelly is a graphic designer at Herman Miller and lives in Grand Rapids, MI.
Father of the Bride
Steve is Laura’s papa. On top of being a dad of three girls and “GPop” to four grandchildren, he is the Founder and President at Pathway Learning and a former professor at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He is married to Becky and prone to practical jokes.
Mother of the Bride
Becky is Laura’s mama. She loves reading and research and serves as Steve’s editor at Pathway Learning. Nothing brings her more joy in life than spending time with her four grandchildren and she’s really really great at taking care of people when they’re sick.
Father of the Groom
Dave Werner is Kyle’s dad. He is a manager at ECG Consultants and also an avid sailor and fountain pen enthusiast. He recently completed his first term as an elder at New City Fellowship in Grand Rapids, MI. Ask him to show you where he lives in Michigan on his hand!
Mother of the Groom
Amy Werner is Kyle’s mom. She homeschooled Kyle and Kelly from the time they were in grade school and has a knack for making learning (and really, everything) fun. She is an avid cook, sourdough baker, birder, gardener, traveler, and sailor. Can you tell she has a lot of energy?

Naomi, age 9, is Laura's niece. They love talking about books together.

Isaiah Moch, age 7, is Laura's nephew. He really knows his animals!

Hunter, age 7, is Laura's nephew. He recently visited Laura in NYC and explored Central Park with "almost Uncle Kyle."
Officiant
Jim serves as rector at Emmanuel Anglican Church in the West Village (Kyle and Laura’s home church). He teaches theology courses at Regent College in the summers and did his PhD on the theology of Jonathan Edwards. He and his wife Amber have two sons.
