Lauran's POV: In late February early March, Kyle and I asked my family if they wanted to come to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) to celebrate Kyle's 23rd birthday! I was so excited that we were all going to be together! Little did I know that Kyle had already asked them to come for the big surprise! The day went completely normal like any other track day, I didn't think anything of it because Kyle had told me MULTIPLE times that he was not going to propose to me on his birthday because it was HIS birthday! LOL! As the day went on we were about to have dinner and Kyle asked me to take a walk with him on the track. I tried to tell him no that we needed to wait and eat dinner and spend time with our families. He insisted and said that he wanted to go for his birthday present, we were walking and talking just talking about life, future, and how beautiful our journey has been. Once we got to the finish/start line Kyle asked me to turn around so that he could take a picture of me with the sunset. I was standing there for what I felt like was a long time to take a picture and then he told me to turn back to him. I couldn't believe it, he was on one knee and my fairytale was coming true. My perfect guy was asking me to spend the rest of our lives together. I was speechless, shocked, and so so excited! Kyle, the man of my dreams and the one I had been praying for, for so long, was going to be my husband! There was so much love in that moment and is so much love in our adventure of life together! March 19th, 2022 was the best day of my life when I said yes to forever with my prince charming, my true love, and my best friend! I can't wait to call Kyle my husband for the rest of our lives! Kyle POV: This day had been in my mind for many years and I was excited the day was about asking Lauran Nicole to be my wife forever and always. As always, the track day starts very early in the morning and I have my early instructors meeting. I remember walking to the meeting thinking that, this was my last one as a boyfriend. I remember going on track for the first and last time thinking, this will be the last time as a boyfriend. This thought went through my mind and I could not be more happy. I was raging with emotions but, holding them back so no one would notice! I was excited all day for the moment that Lauran had no idea about! She was clueless...but, that's what I wanted. Months before I asked her to walk VIR with me to tell her, "All I want for my birthday was to walk the track with her". I knew the moment then and I knew it on my last session. I hopped out of my car changed and secretly got the ring. We walked to the back part of the race track and to the start line. Lauran and I were talking and joking the whole time. I almost did not make it to the start line where our families were to see the engagement! I wanted to ask, not because of being nervous but, wanting to ask the woman of my dreams to be my wife. We made it to the finish line but, this was our start...although, Lauran did not know yet. I got down on one knee and asked Lauran to be with me forever and always, not nervous, not scared, but happy to know that I would be with the woman of my dreams for the rest of my life. This was the best day of my life until the day I say 'I do'!
