On the drive back to Arizona from visiting Utah, Kylee and her accompanying friend, texted her friend Cory, asking him if he would take them climbing. Cory agreed and set something up for the next morning. He was already planning on going climbing with his friend, who was in town visiting from Idaho. On May 26, 2018 with very little sleep, Kylee and her friend, Kimber walked out the front door at 5am to meet Cory and his friend to hit the rocks. Cory introduced his visiting friend, Kyle. Kyle greeted Kylee by saying, "cool name". Kylee awkwardly jumbled her words, not offering much of a response as she wasn't prepared for how cute Cory's friend was. Kyle was fun and nice, but he seemed uninterested. The next day at church Kyle lost track of Cory and sat with Kylee and Kimber. They chatted and exchanged numbers to meet up after church. The next day the trio hiked Camelback. After the hike, Kyle calmly mentioned as they waited for their breakfast that he was possibly going to miss his flight. Kyle dropped off Kylee and Kimber and supposedly made his way to the airport. Without any expectation for an ongoing conversation, Kylee reached out to Kyle later that day to see if he made the flight. Kyle answered and kept talking. A week later with the help of friends, they found out they were interested in each other although Kyle was hesitant about the distance. Kylee initiated a phone date where Kyle complimented Kylee saying she was, “easy to talk to”. The following day, full of giddy, Kylee asked Kyle if she could come visit him in Idaho. Kyle picked Kylee up from the airport on June 22, 2018 for their first date... that lasted an entire weekend. After many phone calls, trips back and forth to satisfy a long distance relationship, Kylee relocated on New Years week of 2019 to Idaho to be closer to Kyle. A year later after their first date, on June 22, 2019, Kyle and Kylee will get sealed for eternity in the Boise, Idaho temple.
