Hotel
Our ceremony and reception will be hosted on the property of Serragiumenta Castle which is its own Bed and Breakfast in addition to a boutique winery, equestrian school, and farm. We highly recommend you book your stay at our venue's property as it will be the most convenient getting to/from the events and there are plenty of activities available during non-wedding related time. Booking your stay at Serragiumenta must be done directly through us and our coordinator to ensure rooms are allocated evenly and efficiently. All of the rooms are blocked on booking websites (booking.com, Expedia, etc.) and will show unavailable if you were to try to book on your own. Our rate we have secured for the rooms is a flat €100 per night, and some rooms have the option to add a cot for additional guests at €15/cot. Complimentary breakfast is included in your stay. Please email us at kieferzaffino22@gmail.com to arrange your accommodations at Serragiumenta Castle once you have RSVP’d. We recommend you check out their website and familiarize yourself with the different accommodation offerings prior to emailing us. Our coordinator will also be the one to help arrange transportation and shuttle service to/from the local train station or airport if that is what you choose.
Flight
The airport with the most flights and cost effective options is FCO. From FCO, you have the option of renting a car and taking a scenic drive south to Altomonte or relaxing on one of Italy's high speed trains.
Flight
SUF is the closest airport to our venue with an approximate 90 minute drive. Serving domestic and intra-Europe flights, this might be an option for our guests who might not be interested in a long drive or train from Rome. Rental cars are available from SUF as is private shuttle service and as always, transpiration arrangements through Serragiumenta.
Train
With rail services all across Italy, this is a great option for guests who prefer not to drive or rent a car. While not the most cost efficient for a group, it certainly is convenient and takes the stress off navigating Italian roads. Whether you're traveling from FCO or the city of Rome, you want to book your train to "Torano-Lattarico" as it is 15-20 minutes by car from Serragiumenta Castle.
Travel Note
If you're considering renting a car, reserve it ASAP to avoid price surges. Also keep in mind the default car to rent in Italy has a manual transmission, so pay attention to what you book if you can't drive a stick! Train schedules vary weekday/weekend. Please check the schedules on ItaliaRail for the most up-to-date schedules. If all else fails, Rome2Rio.com has a great route planner for when you need to figure out how to get somewhere at the last minute. It offers flight, bus, driving, and train suggestions for potential routes.
