Summer of 2012, August to be specific. Like many in the area, our state and country, even the world for a few, we gathered at the Old Poole Farm. More popularly known as the Philadelphia Folk Fest-Fest for short. Fest is A place where Friends become Family and a hay farm becomes Home. It was at Fest, 11 years ago this August, where we first met. Fest…Home; where strangers became friends, friends became lovers, and lovers became family. We invite you to KravFest to both celebrate our chance meeting at Fest 11 years ago and 7 Year Wedding Anniversary. 7 years ago on May 6th, 2016, we eloped on a rainy Friday morning at the local courthouse. The high honors of the sole attendee went to our first born. We agreed the first song we hear on the radio when we got in the car would be our "wedding song." We turned the car on after being announced man and wife. The radio was on, volume was up, but we heard nothing. Until we heard piano and harmonica, and the Piano Man sang us our song. We decided to theme our 7 year wedding anniversary as a festival, not only for our love of music, but also in hopes to emulate the fortunes of our chance meeting 11 years ago. Whether a new friend, a new local craftsman, a new band-even an entire new genre of music (or people), a festival is known to bring many of its attendees a chance meeting. “Find your Fest” we say.
