We’re getting married!

Kyle and Kailie met in January 2023 in a way that’s becoming more and more common, through Hinge, but neither of them expected that a swipe would lead to forever. At the time, they were both just exploring the dating world, not expecting to find someone so genuinely wonderful. But from the very beginning, something just clicked. There was one small catch: Kyle lived in Prince Albert, and Kailie was in Saskatoon — about an hour apart. Despite the distance, their connection grew quickly. They spent the week leading up to their first date talking constantly with calls that lasted all day and well into the night. For their first date, Kyle made the drive to Saskatoon, and they had lunch at one of Kailie’s favourite restaurants, Manos. Right away, it felt easy. Comfortable. Natural. Not wanting the date to end, they wandered through a few of Kailie’s favourite shops and then decided to keep the fun going with an impromptu round of bowling. By the time Kailie got home, she already knew she really liked him. From there, their “medium-distance” relationship began. Kailie started visiting Kyle in Prince Albert every weekend. When it came time to choose a location for her teaching practicum, she chose Prince Albert, not only to be closer, but to see what day-to-day life together could be like. In Fall 2023, just eight months into dating, Kailie moved in with Kyle for her practicum — and she never left. Living together felt natural, and it made their relationship even stronger. Coming home to each other every day quickly became the best part of their routine. What started as a practical decision turned into one of the most meaningful parts of their journey together. Then, in August 2024, Kyle proposed on a beautiful, secluded trail north of Prince Albert. It was peaceful, thoughtful, and completely them. Of course, Kailie said yes. And now, they're so excited to begin the next chapter in their love story surrounded by the people who have supported them from the very beginning.
