If you’d like to arrive earlier or stay longer, please let us know! The hotel recommends reserving any extra nights at least 6 months in advance to ensure availability. (The bride and groom will be at the hotel for a week, Tuesday - Monday.)
La Ventana is a small, coastal town located in Baja California Sur, Mexico, on the Sea of Cortez. It’s about 2 hours north of Cabo San Lucas.
We fell in love with La Ventana the first time we visited. It has a slow, peaceful pace, beautiful scenery, and lovely locals. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate with our favorite people!
Plenty...or nothing at all, if that’s your vibe! - Enjoy a margarita by pool! - Take advantage of the hotel's free paddle boards and kayaks for a paddle along the beach. - We encourage you to explore the town! There is a wonderful selection of local restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance. - Book an ocean safari, where you might see whales, dolphins, manta rays, and more! - We’ll also be hosting events throughout the weekend, so there will be lots of opportunities to connect and celebrate together!
Fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). From there, it’s about a 2-hour drive to La Ventana. We will be coordinating transportation to and from the airport for all our guests. More details will be shared closer to the wedding.
For the wedding, semi-formal attire is encouraged. Think suit jackets, dresses, or any elevated outfit you feel great in. The rehearsal dinner is casual/cocktail. Wear comfortable, warm-weather attire like golf shirts, sundresses, or relaxed separates. The rest of the weekend is completely your call.
Lightweight clothing, sun protection, swimwear, and light layers for breezy evenings. And don’t forget your festive outfits for the wedding celebrations!
Early April in La Ventana is typically warm, sunny, and dry, with daytime temperatures in the 70s–80s°F and cooler evenings. It can be breezy, especially near the water, so we recommend bringing light layers.
Yes! La Ventana and the Baja region is known to be safe, quiet, and welcoming. It's an incredibly popular destination for Americans and Canadians, with many visiting year-round for it's world-class kiteboarding. Like anywhere, we recommend being aware of your surroundings, but we felt completely comfortable during our visits and are so excited to share this special place with you.
- You’ll need a valid passport to travel to Mexico, please plan ahead! - English is widely spoken. - As in most parts of Mexico, we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water. Plenty will be provided. - Some places prefer cash, so we recommend having some Pesos or US dollars on hand.
Yay! We highly recommend taking advantage of being in Mexico. You have plenty of options: - Stay in La Ventana. If you'd like to reserve extra nights at Hotel Todo Bien, please let us know and we can help you coordinate with the venue. They recommend reserving extra nights ~6 months in advance. - Go to Cabo San Lucas! Cabo has it all, plenty of resorts, airbnbs, restaurants, and nightlife. Not to mention, it's right by the airport we recommend flying in and out of. - La Paz is the closest town to La Ventana and offers more amenities, as it's a large town. While not quite as popular as Cabo, it still has stunning accommodations, which are often more affordable than Cabo.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re happy to help and can’t wait to celebrate together!
