How we met

Kyle's Version: When Samantha first showed me pictures of Iza, I couldn’t help but take notice—she was beautiful, radiant, and from what I had heard, deeply spiritual. She already matched so much of what I had been praying for. So naturally, I knew I had to meet her. We set up plans to hang out with some friends in Beacon, and from the moment we met, I was intrigued. I wanted to know more about her, to see if the person behind that kind smile and bright eyes was truly as special as she seemed. So, I got straight to the important questions—“What are your goals? Could you see yourself in Bethel?” Iza answered with conviction, and in that moment, I saw something rare—someone whose heart was completely devoted to Jehovah, someone who truly shared my vision for the future. That night, I knew I had to see her again. But I had to play it cool. I didn’t ask for her number or socials, but I was already thinking of ways to spend more time with her. Later that night, I found her Instagram, and I knew this was my chance. From there, we started spending more time together, and the more I got to know her, the clearer it became—she wasn’t just checking off the boxes, she was exceeding every hope and prayer I had ever had. Iza is warm, kind, intelligent, and full of joy. She loves deeply, encourages others effortlessly, and has a heart that reflects Jehovah’s love in everything she does. Everything I had prayed for was answered in one woman—Izabella Suarez. Iza's Version: I wasn’t looking for someone at the time, but I did have a prayer in my heart. I asked Jehovah to bless me with a kind, spiritual man—someone who could be my partner in accomplishing my spiritual goals. What I didn’t realize then was that it would take both of us making spiritual decisions, in different places and at different times, for us to find one another. During the pandemic, I grew closer to my good friend (and bridesmaid!), Samantha. We spent time together in Zoom service, supported each other’s pioneering, and deepened our friendship. Then Samantha met her future husband—who just so happened to be Kyle’s roommate! Little did I know that this connection would change my life. Eventually, Kyle and I met for the first time at a little burger spot in Beacon, NY. I couldn’t believe how the timing had worked out! A boy from West Virginia made the decision to reach out and begin his Bethel career at Fishkill, NY. Four years later, we found ourselves in the right space and time to meet. After our first date, I saw so many qualities in Kyle that I admired. I prayed for the opportunity to continue getting to know him—to see the secret person of his heart. And what I found was more than I had even prayed for. Kyle became a constant in my life, a source of strength and encouragement. Jehovah truly blessed me immeasurably, and now we’re so excited to serve Him to the fullest—together—in special full-time service.
