We've taken the Amtrak up to Newport many a time. The nearest stop is Kingston, RI - about a 30 minute drive away. If your train gets in at a reasonable hour you should be able to get an uber relatively easily.

The closest airport to Newport is T.F. Green Airport located in Providence, RI - approximately 30 minutes away.

Newport in the summer can be very expensive! We suggest our guests book an airbnb for the weekend to get the most bang for your buck.
