It all started at a bar called The Woods, where neither of us expected to find anything but strongly made drinks and questionable dancing music. He was there with his friends. She was new to the area, and looking to enjoy her first night out in the big city (Grand Rapids). Fueled by one too many cocktails and a friend's "encouragement", he gathered up the courage to strike up a conversation with her. Neither of us remembers the details of that conversation. But somehow, between the loud music and the terrible bar puns, something clicked.
