Affectionately referred to as the "Old Joliet Prison", the Joliet Correctional Facility was a prison in Joliet, IL from 1858 to 2002. The prison was prominently featured in the 1980 cult classic film "The Blues Brothers" as well as season one of "Prison Break". Guided tours are available both inside and outdoors.

Cantigny is a 500-acre park that is open to the public. Most notably, it is home to the First Division Museum, a military museum. The museum has 11 US Army tanks ranging from World War I to Desert Storm outside which visitors can climb and walk around. Additionally, Cantigny includes formal and informal gardens, visitor center with cafe, picnic pavilion, outdoor playgrounds and 27-hole golf course.
