Genevieve & Kyle met at the University of San Diego where they sat next to each other in a Real Estate class. The two were partners in group project where they had to re-finance a house. They had no idea what they were doing, but eventually figured it out…thanks to Gen’s Dad. After college Gen moved to LA for six years while Kyle stayed in San Diego. Luckily, they met back up when Gen moved back home during Covid and have dated ever since!

Genevieve’s 30th birthday party was planned for a Saturday in September. The Friday before her birthday, Kyle told Gen they were going to dinner and would stop somewhere for a drink before. They went to Carruth Cellars, a small wine bar/tasting room in Solana Beach where Kyle got down on one knee and proposed. (Side note—they made their relationship ‘official’ in Gen’s parents wine cellar, so proposing at a wine bar kept the theme going). From there Gen & Kyle went to L’Auberge hotel in Del Mar where Gen was surprised with friends and family waiting for them in the bar. The photo of her reaction tells it all.
