This is the spot for island fabrics. You can watch the process of how they are made, which involves a lot of patience and layers of wax and dyes. Then you can head to the shop and purchase some if you like. The grounds are lovely and while you can buy some of these items down at the docks, the experience here is much more fun. Tickets to visit are $3 a person, or you can take a back of house tour and make your own batik for $30.
This is a UNESCO world heritage site and you should take your time visiting this amazing spot. It gives a ton of history about the island and the views are unreal. Tickets are $15 per person and there is plenty of parking.
At the Marriot, there is a ton to do. You can relax at the pool or walk out to the beach if you feel like basking in the sun. You can golf on their beautiful 18-hole course during the day and then gamble at the casino in the evening. If you feel like maximizing the relaxation, there is a spa you can enjoy as well.
