Our Story

Kyle and I met in a place neither of us ever expected—gym class, senior year of high school. Even though we had gone to the same school for all four years and lived in the same neighborhood, our paths somehow never crossed until that final year. I didn’t know it at the time, but Kyle had noticed me from afar the year before and quietly carried a crush, never imagining that one day we would be standing here together. There were no big gestures or dramatic beginnings—just time spent together in gym class that slowly turned into something more. After about a month of hanging out, Kyle finally asked for my number. Not long after, he asked me on our first official “date” to the gym on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023. A few days later, on October 8th, we made things official. From that simple start, our friendship quickly grew into a deep and genuine love. At the time we met, Kyle already had his future set in motion, planning to attend The Apprentice School, while I had applied to just one college—Old Dominion University. We had no idea then that these two paths would lead us to places only 25 minutes apart, perfectly aligned in ways only God could plan. Early in our relationship, Kyle and I began going to church together. As we grew closer, so did our faith, and we quickly learned how important it was to keep the Lord at the center of our relationship. About eight months into dating, we both knew we wanted to spend our lives together. On June 9th, 2024, we were baptized on the same day—an incredibly special moment we were able to share side by side. From that day on, we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives in that same front row, supporting one another and growing together in faith. As graduation approached and our lives began to change, our relationship only grew stronger. Kyle stepped into the demanding world of trade school, while I began my college journey at Old Dominion University. Even as our schedules grew busier and our responsibilities increased, we chose each other every day. We learned how to support one another through long days, early mornings, new challenges, and big transitions—celebrating successes, offering encouragement during hard moments, and always being each other’s safe place. Kyle proposed on December 12th, 2025, in a way I will never forget. Knowing how much New York City at Christmastime means to me, he secretly planned the entire trip himself. After an early morning bus ride into the city, Kyle insisted we head straight to Central Park, casually saying he wanted to see if Impractical Jokers were filming. What I didn’t know was that he was carefully navigating a city he had never been to, doing everything he could to keep the surprise intact. When I suddenly spotted my sister nearby, I realized what Kyle was doing. With tears in my eyes, I turned to him—and in that moment, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. Through happy tears, I said yes. Then, one by one, our family members appeared—my sister from Germany, my mom, cousins, and Kyle’s mom and twin brothers—making the moment even more meaningful. The greatest surprise of all was knowing Kyle had made sure our family was there, because he knew how important that would be to me. Kyle and I are two young, hardworking, devoted Christians who are truly best friends. From high school hallways to college classrooms and trade school, our love has continued to grow through every season of change. Our relationship is filled with joy, laughter, and deep love, grounded in faith and built with intention. We believe wholeheartedly that our story has been written by God in His perfect timing, and we are beyond excited to build a life together—supporting one another, growing in faith, and glorifying Him in all things.
