Question

I am flying in. Which airport should I fly to?

Answer

First of all, thank you so much for coming such a long distance! The Washington region is serviced by 3 airports, but do not be fooled: they are not all equal! Washington National (DCA) is the closest to the city. It is metro accessible and is only a 20 minute car ride from the Cosmos Club. However, you may find that these flights are more expensive. Dulles International (IAD) is in Virginia. This is a larger airport outside of DC. It would be a challenge to take public transportation into the city. It is about 45 minutes from the Cosmos Club by car. A Lyft or Uber will cost approximately $50. Lastly, you may find that Baltimore International (BWI) comes up when you search flights. We do not recommend flying into BWI unless you have a ride or are renting a car. It is far!

Question

I am driving to the wedding. Where can I park a car for the weekend?

Answer

The Cosmos Club has several parking spots for an additional fee as does the Hilton Capital. If you decide to street park, remember to double check all street signs. DC has strict parking regulations.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are staying at the Cosmos Club, good news! You're already at the site of the ceremony and reception! If you are staying at the Fairfax, you are right across the street. We are not planning to arrange transportation from the Capital Hilton. We recommend taking a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. Although you can take the Metro, you will have to walk to and from the stations on either end.

Question

I hear there is a dress code for the Cosmos Club for hotel guests. Tell me more.

Answer

You are correct, the Cosmos Club does have a dress code if you are hanging around the club. We know this does not sound ideal but we are hoping this is not too inconvenient. The dress code will be most applicable for breakfast or other meals at the club. Going in and out of the club, you are able to wear whatever is comfortable.
