Kyle and I met at Mercer University my second week of college in 2014. I was very convinced going into college that I wasn't going to date anyone my first year, but little did I know, a persistent and charming Kyle Smith would change that! I was hesitant at first, but it didn't take long for him to convince me to go get a milkshake with him at the infamous Rookery. That next weekend I went to his fraternity's tailgate for the first Mercer football game. His parents also happened to be at that tailgate and it was that day that he told his mom, "Hey Mom, do you see that blonde over there? She's crazy about me, she just doesn't know it yet." Mrs. Karen says it was then she knew it was something different! I, however, was a little harder to sway, but the more I hung out with him, the more we clicked. After over six years of dating, I was patiently waiting (okay, maybe not super patient), for the day he proposed. I was imaging every circumstance and thought I would know it was coming, but Kyle had other plans! I thought we were just taking family Christmas cards with our talented friend, Anna, but I was so wrong! He had made big plans to ask me to marry him on the dock of the beautiful pond in Clearwater that we have been to hundreds of times. It was such a special day and we cannot wait for the day we celebrate with all of our family and friends on our wedding day! We are so grateful for each and every one of you and appreciate all of your love and support throughout our journey together!
