The Highlights: 1) Carey was 17 when she met (and fell in love with) a blue-eyed, boot camp-bound 18 year old Kyle. 2)They got to know each other through hand-written letters and hushed calls made from wall lockers in the barracks, always with the threat of a drill sargeant finding out. They never did, Kyle made it home safe and sound. 3) 2 years into their relationship they went on their first vacation together. Kyle proposed out of a plastic-jack-o-lantern the day after Halloween with his family there to witness. She said yes! 4) About one year later, as it turned out, they were NOT ready to get married, but still very much in love. 5) Lots of life happened. They got a few animals, had a few apartments here and there and eventually bought Kyle's childhood home. 6) One day, they realized that they were not 17 and 18 anymore and should probably do that marriage thing that everyone asked about... all the time... 7) Back on vacation in their regular spot, almost exactly seven years later, they hopped over the bridge to Canada, hopped on a boat that took them right up to Niagara Falls where Kyle got down on one knee and said some things that Carey couldn't hear over the sound of 150,000 gallons/second of water rushing over Bridal's edge. Only when she felt a tug on her soaking wet rain coat that she turned around. Squinting through the mist she saw Kyle kneeling there, with the same ring that he had used those many years ago.
