We met back in February 2016 through Facebook. Our first date was shortly after that, we went to the Spectrum and ate tacos at TLT Foods. We had plenty to say and really hit it off. -Kyle
I went to Connecticut to visit family for about a week and it was painful being separated from Bryce. We missed each other so much. I got the opportunity to tell my family about Bryce and the more I spoke about him and how wonderful he was, the more I realized how lucky I was to have him and I knew I wanted to marry him. We have sort of a beach theme to our relationship so I wrote in the sand on the beach in Connecticut "marry me?" and took a picture. As soon a as I got back to California, I showed Bryce a photo album of my trip on my phone. He scrolled through the pictures while we sat in bed and when he got to the last picture, he saw my message. He was a little confused but once he realized the message was for him (and not me taking a picture of someone else's proposal), he said, "YES" and we cried and hugged. He made me the happiest guy on Earth that day! -Kyle
Our former roommate, Melanie, was nice enough to make an amazing Champagne-flavored Cake for the Engagement Party. She spent weeks perfecting a recipe and frosting and designing a cake that matched our Champagne theme. It was both beautiful and delicious! Thank you so much, Melanie! -Kyle & Bryce
One of the most important pieces in planning a wedding is putting together an album of photographs that accurately describes the complete love that you both feel when you're together. Thankfully for Kyle and I, we connected with an amazing photographer that understood our vision, and brought it to life in a way neither of us thought possible. Earle helped us find a beautiful location and facilitated the entire shoot perfectly and we couldn't be happier. -Bryce
Bryce and I went back and forth for almost 2 years deciding how, when, and where we wanted to get married and celebrate. Since going to Maui several years ago, it has always been a dream of mine to get married on the beach at sunset on this magical and romantic island. With most of my family living on the East Coast, it would be an entire day of travel if we had a destination wedding. Also, with Bryce and much the rest of my family being teachers, it was hard finding that perfect time when everyone had vacation. We were very close to booking a wedding on a yacht in Newport Beach but ultimately decided to elope in Hawaii and then have a celebration here in California a few months later, when more people can attend. So, we will be spending a week in Maui in late March 2019 and will be getting married on a beach at sunset on 3/27/19. We found a charming company called Hawaii Wedding and Vow Renewal (https://hawaiiwedding.com) who arranges everything and provides photography and an Officiant. We will have the entire week as a honeymoon to start our married life off in paradise, we are beyond excited! -Kyle
We have been working with Produce Catering*Creative (https://www.producecatering.com) to put together a party in May 2018 that will give us an opportunity to celebrate with close friends and family. We are excited to see what Chef Kiel Andersen puts together for our menu!
