- LSA Burger - Cartwrights Ranch House (we recommend the Californians try the biscuits & sausage gravy -- one of Braden (and his dad, Bobby's) favorite Texan breakfasts).
Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream is a Denton classic (and a favorite from Kyle's childhood. Eight-year-old Kyle would recommend a scoop of Krissy's French Toast or a Root Beer Float!)
Steve's is a wine bar with live music in walking distance of the Square. Kyle grew up across the street from the owners (Karen & Steve) who were the Anderson's neighbors for 25 years.
Braden & Kyle's favorite brunch date spot. It's Texi-Cali cuisine with a huge menu, including tons of vegan & dairy free options, but we get the same order every time: 1. Jo's Breakfast Tacos with Bacon on Flour Tortillas, with 2 GREEN salsas (for Braden) 2. Jo's Breakfast Tacos with Bacon & extra crispy hashbrowns on Corn Tortillas, with 2 GREEN salsas (for Kyle) 3. One vegan cinnamon roll to share (life-changing, must try, would never know it's vegan) Kyle also recommends the NOLA Cold Brew & the Iced Matcha with coconut milk & sugar-free vanilla (and the mimosa carafes).
Fort Worth staple (& where Kyle & Braden met -- thanks to their mutual friend, Chris Flanagan!)
The place we first met (pictured a year later). However, our favorite place in the Stockyards is actually its next-door neighbor, Second Rodeo (great drinks, live music, with plenty of indoor & outdoor space to hangout). Must try a Salted Watermelon (margarita) in a boot glass!
