Kyle and Arabella met on a mission trip to Lake Charles, Louisiana. Their first conversations took place during the 12-hour van ride to the mission site, where they worked side by side and made their first memories together. After the trip, Kyle spent the summer interning at USA Baseball in North Carolina, while Arabella returned to Missouri to work in her hometown. Within a few weeks, the two began texting and FaceTiming regularly, building on their connection despite the distance. It was a summer of long phone calls!
When they were reunited in August after returning to campus, they went on a quiet evening walk while the campus was still empty and students had not yet moved in. During their walk, they discovered the campus chapel was unexpectedly unlocked, even though most campus buildings were still closed. They took the open door as a gift from God to go inside and pray together, hand in hand. In that small chapel, Kyle asked Arabella to be his girlfriend.
Now they look forward to finding themselves in a chapel once again, this time to solidify their commitment to one another in marriage. They were engaged in Colorado Springs, Colorado, when Kyle planned a perfect surprise proposal at Helen Hunt Falls.
Their deep love for each other reflects their love for Christ. Together, they look forward to a lifetime of love and service to one another and to the Lord. Their story has only just begun, and they eagerly anticipate a life filled with memories, love, and a shared desire to glorify the Lord.
