Important things to note prior to travel: 1. Visa is not required to travel to Mexico, however please ensure that passport is up to date and more than 6 months prior to expiration. 2. Local currency is the peso. Easiest way to get around is with pesos. You can withdraw money from an ATM in the airport or one of the many banks located in San Miguel. (Banorte, Banamex, CiBank, Bancomer, BBVA, Santander). Make sure to let your bank know of your travel. 3. Credit cards are accepted. Most common Visa and Mastercard. American Express is also accepted mainly at hotels, restaurants and some stores but can be less common. Please ensure to let your credit card company know of your travel. 4. San Miguel is a safe and walkable city. No need to rent a vehicle. Hotels can also provided safe taxis and we have provided below 2 safe companies to use within the city as needed as well. Getting there: Airport: Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (Please ensure that you are selecting this airport when purchasing airline tickets) . Airlines that fly from US to Querétaro include Aeromexico, United, Delta, American After arriving to Queretaro it is about 1 hour and 20 min drive to San Miguel.
