Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. This is a childfree wedding ceremony and reception. The hotel rooms are right upstairs, in the same venue however. Kids are welcome at the Beach Day and Farewell Brunch, however.

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

The wedding dress code is ALL WHITE Semi Formal to Formal. For women: ivory, cream, or off-white midi to maxi dresses, elegant top and midi to maxi skirt or pants. Silk, chiffon, satin, lace, beading. For men: white collared shirt and white pants or khakis, white suit jackets are optional. Ties are optional but please wear a white tie if you choose to wear one. White jeans are not recommended but are ok, just no dark pants. All white dress code is the most important element! Please join us in making this a truly ethereal moment.

What Shade is Best?

Answer

Ivory is the best shade of white to wear! Off white and Cream is second best. Dark colored clothing of any kind will very much so stand out against the all white ceremony setting. Please wear ALL white, meaning shirt and pants/dress.

Is a Suit Jacket Required?

Answer

Suit jackets are not required! However a WHITE collared shirt IS required. Those who go above and beyond to dress formally will be sincerely appreciated though!!!

Are Dark Pants Ok?

Unfortunately, dark pants are not okay. They will stand out very harshly in the wedding video. Please wear white pants, khakis, or white jeans!

Is a Dark or Colored Jacket Ok?

Unfortunately, no dark or colored suit jackets. Only white jackets are recommended, but a suit jacket is not required. Please wear a white collard shirt with or without a jacket.

What Color Shoes?

Most white, brown, tan, or blue shoes look great. All-white shoes are not required but would look great!

Don't worry, no shade of white is off limits!

Is White Important?

Answer

YES!! Please wear white even if it's not totally formal, just wear white! No dark pants. No colored ties or jackets of any kind. The color scheme will bring us all together and it's the most important part!

What's the Difference?

Answer

Pure white (#FFFFFF) is cooler and more staining to the eyes. This is totally fine to wear especially for a collard shirt, but not recommended for dresses. Ivory is warmer, gentle, and sophisticated (#FFFFF0). This is a recommended color to wear for dresses. Cream is noticeably more yellow than ivory (#FFFDD0). Where ivory whispers warmth, cream states it plainly. This is a recommended color to wear. Off-white includes all shades of white tinted with pink, gray, blue, or green. Common off-white shades include linen (#FAF0E6), snow (#FFFAFA), floral white (#FFFAF0), and ghost white (#F8F8FF). These are acceptable colors to wear as well.

Can I Change for the Reception?

You can absolutely change outfits for the reception! Anyone is welcome to have a second look as long as it’s still white! Colored/dark clothing will stand out abrasively against the all white draping and decor.

Why All White?

Answer

The ceremony space, the Galleria at Hotel Colonnade, has gorgeous white cathedral ceilings. This inspired Addie to design the space with white covers on all the chairs, and white cascading drapery down the staircase. Kyle and Addie hope to feel transported to a truly etherial place as they partake in their vows. Dark colored clothing of any kind (black pants, etc) will very much so stand out. Please wear ALL white (Ivory or cream is best, especially for the ladies. For the men, wear a white collard shirt and white pants or khakis).
