How we met

4.23.2023

Kyle and I first met at my best friend Jessica’s wedding (<3 BFF!), I was a bridesmaid, and he was a groomsman, it sounds like the perfect meet cute, and honestly, it felt like one too. The moment I walked down the aisle, my eyes caught his for the first time, and little did I know, I was stepping towards my forever. Later, at the reception, Kyle and I shared our first dance. Though it was a bit awkward lol, it felt just right, with our fingers intertwined, it was like the world faded, leaving just the two of us. There was an immediate connection. Two days later, we went on a date, and that date turned out to be the last "first date" of our lives. From that moment, our love unfolded into the most beautiful story. It brought healing to past wounds, hope for our future, and a reason to be the best versions of ourselves. Our present is filled with laughter, and love, painting every moment in the brightest, most vibrant colors. Some things aren’t just coincidence, they’re destiny. And we were always meant to be.

How I proposed

12.23.2023

They say a guy knows if they’re going to marry a girl pretty early on in a relationship and I can vouch for that. I knew she was the one after only 1 month. Not long after I moved to Florida I began searching for a ring that would fit her perfectly. After looking at several I was shown a single diamond that I instantly knew she would love. A large oval with the perfect shine. I started talking to people and planning the proposal, I thought what better place than where we first met, the Rose Gardens. I searched to find the perfect spot, a large gazebo that would be lit up with beautiful Christmas lights to match her bright personality. I waited until a few days before Christmas and with the excuse of going to look at the lights. When we entered the gazebo, she sat down on one the benches and I took that opportunity and got on one knee while she was staring up at the lights. I’ll never forget the look of shock and happiness that covered her face when she looked down and saw me holding a ring in front of her, I couldn’t even speak but when I finally pulled myself together I asked “Dacmara Nnidia Delgado will you marry me?” and to my excitement she said YES, she gave me the tightest hug and kissed me lovingly. I’ll treasure that moment forever, the beginning of our forever.
