We'd met before in a few classes but didn't talk until we matched on a dating app. We both canceled on a date before finally meeting in person. On our first date, we watched Ocean's 8 and ate chocolate-covered strawberries in Kyla's apartment. We both felt this could be something but knew it was meant to be when Rowan sent Kyla Hailey Kiyoko's "Pretty Girl" after their second date. Kyla asked her out that night, February 13th, but Rowan told her they should wait until the next day because it would make a better anniversary.

After five years together, we'll be tying the knot in Kyla's family apple orchard at the height of blossom season. Our theme is "A Long Expected Party" and will be heavily inspired by Bilbo Baggin's 111th birthday celebration in "Lord of the Rings", a series dear to both of us. We're looking forward to our fantasy spring wedding surrounded by our loved ones.
