Kassidey and Kyla were raised like sisters. They’ve always had the same last name (their dads are brothers) so they were often mistaken for sisters instead of cousins. Now they both will have different last names and there is no one Kyla would rather walk into this phase of life with than Kassidey. She’s been there for Kyla through everything and she means more to Kyla than she could ever know.

Ginger and Kyla met through Kyla’s sister Shaelyn and Ginger’s daughter and felt an instant connection. They were immediately attached at the hip and started spending as much time together as they could. They don’t get as much time together anymore but the connection is just as strong as the first day they met.

Kristen and Kyla have been friends since kindergarten. Kristen lived right down the road from Kyla and they always loved spending time together despite their many differences. They had a falling out towards the end of high school then Kyla moved to GA and they lost touch but recently rekindled their friendship and are back to their old selves except now with adult responsibilities.

Caitlyn McGuire

Caitlyn and Kyla met on the job in 2019. They built a friendship off of common interests and eventually in 2021, Caitlyn invited Kyla to her gender reveal for her first child. This is the exact event where Kyla met Michael and they began their journey. Caitlyn and Kyla have been there for each other through many ups and downs over the past 4 years and have grown a close bond through motherhood. Little did they know they would actually become sisters through marriage.

Hanna Taylor

Hanna and Kyla have been through a lot together. They went to school together but Kyla’s grandparent’s house was also right next to Hanna’s dad’s. We became especially close when Hanna was about to have her first born and Kyla had just found out she was pregnant with her first. They became extremely close and in turn so did their boys who are only 7 months apart. 9 years later despite the distance between them they remain very close.

Shaelyn Shumway

Shaelyn and Kyla are sisters 7 years and 9 months apart. Shaelyn was the sister that Kyla had always wanted, then she started talking LOL (kidding). They’ve been through a lot together and now that they are both adults they are bonding in a different way.

Alayna Shumway

Alayna is Kyla’s baby sister. They are 11 years and 3 months apart. The dynamic between adult and teenage sisters is quite different but that doesn’t stop the Shumway sisters from bonding in their own way. Alayna brings a certain unique quirkiness to the relationship.

Ron Smith

Ron is Kyla’s cousin from North Carolina. He has helped her out a few times now and gave her a place to stay when she needed it. He’s also an exceptional cook! He often spends his weekends traveling to officiate weddings and Kyla thought he’d be perfect.
