God led us to meet in April 2019, answering our many prayers! In typical modern day fashion, it all started online with a message. A first date to Joe T. Garcia's turned into a 3 hour long evening in genuine conversation revealing a certain familiarity with each other and our mutual love of margaritas and Mexican food. After hitting it off as such, we planned a second date for the upcoming Saturday before we even left the restaurant! For two people who keep their circles small, we felt comfortable with each other and felt like we had known each other for years already. It was clear that God had brought us together and would not tear us asunder. And His promise is being fulfilled.
Upon obtaining a beautiful ring for the beautiful bride, Lance recruited Kyla's best friend, Becca, to assist in the proposal. Becca and Lance conspired to trick Kyla into loving this proposal. Considering the bride is an oblivious, basic white girl, we knew we could pick a cliche setting and she would love it. Of course, Lance locked that down a long time ago so all this was essentially pro forma (we knew she would say yes). Ultimately, the proposal was done in a corn maze at a local pumpkin patch with Becca providing much needed camera work.
