October will be the end of the green season (rainy season) in Costa Rica. It’s typical to have dry mornings, and intermittent showers in the afternoon, with the rain stopping around 5pm. That being said, we recommend packing an umbrella or rain jacket!

Question

Is it safe to travel to Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes, from our perspective Costa Rica is a safe country. We have traveled there before and never felt unsafe. They are some of the nicest people we ever met! That being said, if you have never traveled to Central and South America it is important to be aware of petty crimes and use common sense.
