We met through a mutual friend while both being stationed in Germany. We found that we had so much in common and that our personalities just clicked. It got to the point where we were spending every day together and also traveling all throughout Germany and Czech.
It was our anniversary and Tony had planned a day in Austin. He was determined to go to a place called “Secret Beach” as it has the Colorado River running through it. Looking at the pictures of Secret Beach there were photos of rock stacks that people had built, which is something that we had done in Germany almost every where we traveled together. And once we had arrived that was the first thing we did, we built a rock stack. Tony had set up his phone to take a video because “his mom wanted to see pictures,” so I clearly had caught on to what was happening. He then knelt down on one knee and said some cute words, that I don’t think either of us remember, and asked me to FINALLY marry him. Then he gave me a card that said “he popped the question. Now let’s pop some bottles” and I attempted to pop a small bottle of champagne and failed.
