Kyera and Richard met at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak in April 2020, and their journey has been unimaginable ever since. Their first date was supposed to be a picnic at Piedmont Park, yet it rained. Not wanting the planned moment to go to waste, because the two wanted to see each other and spend time, Richard took the initiative to make the picnic happen at his house. Kyera arrived at Richard’s home, where he set up a picnic that included Pizza Hut, cinnamon sticks, video games, Uno cards, and wine. Kyera remembers leaving his house that day jokingly saying, “Oh, that’s going to be my husband!” Kyera and Richard turned the tragic years of the pandemic into a memorable couple of years that they will forever remember, as it laid the foundation for their love. Through the beautiful and sometimes tough times, their love grew fonder. They credit having to stay in the house as the world quarantined to being the force that allowed them to connect on higher levels beyond what they could have gained from going out on traditional dates. Kyera and Richard are excited to start their lives together, full of adventures, highs, and lows, and most importantly, love and laughs. Neither has felt a love so tender, kind and embedded with an endless devotion to one another. Their love is one that they both desired and prayed for, and for it to come true, the future Mr. and Mrs. Sanders are now excited to share this moment with family and friends.
