Sam & Kyla met in Salt Lake City, UT in July of 2022.  This will be written in Kyla’s perspective because as the ladies know, women often do more when it comes to wedding planning and organizing!  I love you Sam! You really have been very supportive and helpful, I am always grateful for you!! So, Sam had no idea he was about to meet the love of his life & it’s kind of a funny story….  We both used to work at the same place, but at different times. It was a brewery, which is ironic because we are now sober and don’t really frequent bars. I had this friend, she worked at the brewery and knew us both. A few times I had stopped by, had a beer and we chatted about various things. One of those things being my ‘oh, so sad love life’ at the time.  One day, this friend’s face lit up and she looked at me and said, “Oh my gosh, you have to meet Sam!” She went on to tell me how Sam is super handsome and really kind, very athletic and we would be great together! “Okay” Little did I know Sam would be my forever.  My friend texted me one day while I was feeling sub-par in bed and told me I should come by the brewery to meet Sam. He was just finishing his shift and was going to have a beer before heading out.  I thought, for sure, my friend mentioned to Sam she had someone who was coming to meet him.  I wasn’t feeling great but thought well, why not, let’s go and meet this guy. I put on some makeup, threw my hair in a messy bun, felt I looked somewhat presentable and headed over.  I walked in to find my friend sitting on the far side of the bar and a man sitting adjacent to her. I sat next to my friend who introduced me to Sam. *He was indeed, SUPER CUTE*  I thought Sam was in the loop as far as meeting me, so I tried, several times, to start a conversation with him. I was persistent-hehe. He was kind and would respond, but then would look at his phone and appeared to be tending to something important.  My thought process was, well he is NOT interested LOL. I talked with my friend and tried to engage them both in conversation, Sam did seem nice, but preoccupied. He eventually finished his beer and headed out the door. Very anticlimactic…. although, my friend was right-  **Tall and handsome!!!**  After he left I turned to my friend and said, “Wait, did he know I was here to meet him?!” She looked confused and said, “Well no, I don’t think so, I didn’t say anything!” Hahahaha - We began laughing and then BING* my friend gets a message from Sam.  “Is your friend single?”  “She is!” “Can I have her number?”  “Yes!” BOOM- & the rest is history!
