FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at [TBD]. We kindly ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to settle in comfortably. This will give you time to park, sign our welcome book, collect your confetti, and find your seat before the ceremony begins. Please enter from the outer aisles and fill seats from front to back, leaving as few gaps as possible so everyone can be seated comfortably. There are no reserved sides—just choose a seat, not a side! We can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people together.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We're so grateful for your generosity! Since we already have everything we need at home, we'd love to celebrate with contributions toward our honeymoon fund or cash gifts instead. Your support will help us create unforgettable memories together. You'll find all the details in our registry on this site, and we also have a card box by our welcome book if you'd prefer to give cash in person.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal cocktail attire. We'd love for you to weave one of our wedding colors into your outfit—peach, dusty blue, dusty purple, mulberry, or olive green—to create a beautifully cohesive look in our photos. Browns and tans complement our palette wonderfully as well. Our aesthetic draws inspiration from a romantic garden picnic, so we encourage you to embrace that spirit and have fun expressing your personal style. Do bring extra layers and comfortable clothes for later in the evening, yard games, or just in case you find yourself by the creek! The venue is all grass- keep in mind for shoes:)

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, go to the RSVP page on this website. Please submit your RSVP by [tbd] so we can plan accordingly!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at [LOCATION].

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We wish we could invite everyone we love to celebrate with us! However, to keep our wedding intimate and within our budget, we are only able to accommodate guests whose names are listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding and supporting our decision to share this special day with our closest family and friends.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We warmly welcome children who are immediate family members, part of the wedding party, or whose names appear on your invitation.

Question

Saying Goodbye!

Answer

We'd love an Irish goodbye, but a quick hug or wave works just as well—just send us a message so we know you've made it home safely, we promise we love you! We simply ask that you let us enjoy the dance floor and our special moments without being pulled away. We've learned from our friends' weddings how quickly the day passes, so we're hoping to savor every minute with our guests.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so we can be fully present with our loved ones. We've hired a professional photographer to capture those special moments beautifully. However, we'd absolutely love for you to snap photos during the reception—whether with your phone, a digital camera, disposable camera, Polaroid, or professional equipment. Since our photographer's time is limited, your candid shots will help us treasure all the joy and celebration of the day!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We're so glad you asked! You'll find our curated list of hotel recommendations on our website's travel page. We're also offering camping at the venue if you'd prefer that option (bring what you need:)) For guests planning to enjoy cocktails during the celebration, we kindly ask that you either stay overnight with us at the venue or arrange safe transportation—such as a designated driver or rideshare service.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We’ll have a small selection of beverages available, and guests are welcome to bring their own drinks if they’d like. We kindly ask that hard alcohol stay at home. While we absolutely want everyone to have fun, we’d appreciate keeping things light until cocktail hour—after all, it’s a wedding, not a wild party! Thank you for helping us make the day enjoyable for everyone. Save energy for karaoke:)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We appreciate you letting us know about your dietary needs. Since we're hosting a potluck-style celebration, we're unable to accommodate individual food allergies or restrictions through our catering. However, we'd love for you to bring a dish that works for you! Please reach out to us directly so we can coordinate and ensure there's plenty for everyone to enjoy. Ask us about our potluck sign-ups!

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Rain or shine, our celebration will go on! We recommend bringing an umbrella if rain is in the forecast. While our food and beverage stations will be sheltered, the ceremony and reception areas are outdoors. As the date approaches, we'll monitor the weather closely and will arrange a tent if needed/possible.

Question

I don’t like to dance, what is there to do?

Answer

We're thrilled to have you celebrate with us! If dancing isn't your style, there's plenty to enjoy—cool off in the nearby creek, try your hand at our yard games, enjoy our bubble station, or take the mic for some karaoke. There's something for everyone to have a wonderful time.
